Hello everyone my name is Elias Her Many Horses. I am an enrolled member of the Cheyenne and Arapaho tribes of Oklahoma and am also a descendant of the Oglala Lakota, Taos Pueblo, Meskwaki and Leech Lake Ojibwa nations. I have been working in the solar field since 2021 on various commercial and residential projects in the Denver Metro area, as well as in Lawrence Kansas where I reside. I enjoy traveling to different tribal communities and participating in events such as pow wows and different ceremonies. I enjoy being outdoors, connecting with the elements, dancing, and singing at pow wows. I am excited to join the team as the Tribal Technical Trainer for GRID Alternatives and look forward to working with new trainees to expand on their skills in the solar field. It is a passion of mine to install solar on Tribal land and to share my knowledge with Indigenous communities while strengthening these relationships.
